Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She is also the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. It is widely believed that she was the one who initiating the contemporary scientific study of children's witness memory as well as child victims as witnesses in lawful situations. Her publications are numerous, she has received numerous grants, and has been the winner of numerous awards the national level and international. She has advised many administrations and agencies across the world about policies and studies pertaining to the treatment of child victims in the justice system. She is a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center - formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She holds memberships in many professional groups, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was head of the The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
